What is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese healing technique that promotes relaxation, pain relief, and whole body healing. Reiki can be translated to “spiritually guided life energy,” and is a healing touch modality in which the practitioner channels this life energy through their hands. The practitioner uses gentle touch, placing hands on or slightly away from the body to channel this energy. All clothing is kept on, and the client lays on the massage table facing up and/or down, depending on their needs.
Reiki is able to work with the energy channels in our bodies, helping to clear stagnation and blockages, allowing the energy to flow more freely. It is also able to nourish all the workings of the body, and much more. Essentially, Reiki helps the body return to harmony with itself.
For thousands of years many cultures have recognized that dis-ease starts on the energetic level, and we are now coming back to that knowledge. Reiki is a powerful tool for fighting dis-ease in our time, as it not only helps to freely move the energy in our bodies, but also assists in stress reduction and relaxation, which are essential factors for healing.
Reiki can be practiced on people, animals, places, objects, situations, and more. It can also assist in a wide variety of ailments, including (but not limited to) fatigue, depression, anxiety, chronic pain, injuries, autoimmune disease, and other chronic illnesses. Reiki can never cause harm, to neither the client nor practitioner, as it is a very gentle, spiritually guided healing technique. It never forces healing, but rather subtly and gently helps the body return to harmony. Many clients report a feeling of deep calm, connection, and safety wash over them during their treatments,
